Isn't it typical of IBM? Sheesh! They didn't even say maybe! They must still be making a few $$ off OS/2. Oh, well. Sometimes I think IBM couldn't find their way out of a shredded, wet paper bag... But, they DID let Serenity take over some of the development.

It would be nice if SS was able to see more of the source code so they can develope it more; even if it is only parts of it.

Instead of open sourceing it, perhaps SS could see if they can get a contract where they can see more of the source code? It would be with the idea that they would not open source it. Perhaps they could 'hire' more developers to work on it?  ???

Just wondering if there's a way to "reverse engineer" OS/2? Or wouldn't that be legal?

BigWarpGuy

I think there is a way around it. If one group reverse engineered something and a different group used it to develope something. I think that is how they created an IBM clone? They reveresed engineered the bios and created their own? It might be a fine point in the law.  ;D
