Hi,

IMHO, if a DLL is already in the RAM memory loaded, it looks to my that a simular DLL not will be loaded again.
To kill or rename DLL's, I'm afraid about that because you don't no which version it is.
What I well know, is that AOO needs his "own" DLL's.

At tis moment it works and the frequent crashes are no almost banned to to the past.
I found a lot of tips on the internet about AOO, one was to load th AOO quick starter in the startup folder.
In the past this delivers me shutdown errors, so I banned the quick start icon to the extra's directory.
On ArcaOS 5.1.2 I have no problems with the AOO quick starter.

Thank you all for the tips, trics and explanations.

Grts,
Adrain

Hello

Here goes a new port.

Berusky
"A free, open-source 2D logic and maze puzzle game developed by the Czech team AnakreoN. Based on the classic Sokoban puzzle mechanics, it expands the concept by letting players control up to five cooperating ladybugs while navigating around obstacles like explosives, stones, and special gates."

It is playable, but some twearks with the High/Low resolution and Full screen.  Check it out and let me know.

I will package it in a more decent way later. Done.

Programming / Re: Questions about porting 'file'
« Last post by Dave Yeo on August 15, 2026, 06:07:46 pm »
Should be something like this,
Code: [Select]
[H:\tmp\file-os2-5.48-os2\src]file file.gz
file.gz: gzip compressed data, was "file", last modified: Sun Aug  9 20:34:54 2026, from HPFS filesystem (OS/2, NT), original size modulo 2^32 130

[H:\tmp\file-os2-5.48-os2\src]file -Z file.gz
file.gz: ASCII text, with CRLF line terminators

Problem is configure not setting #define have_fork 1 in config.h

An interesting idea, one that got me thinking and researching ... thanks! Lots of Con(vention)s out there ... Wikipedia had lists of them.

One common thread ... expensive, complicated. Booth rental, extensive rules/paperwork to get a space, hotel rooms/travel. A hundred donations at $100 each  *might* begin to cover it all. Las Vegas seems to be the epicenter, with a coast or three coming in close behind, as the location of choice for all these -Cons. CES, Comic-con, etc.

So, I backed off and thought more local ... hold these OS/2-Cons in *your* city, using whatever free resources might be available. This would get the ball rolling, and might also achieve another goal, which is to bring back OS/2-Clubs (in your city).

Again, great idea ... don't know if the national idea or the local club approach will be what takes off, but hopefully others will think more about it as well!

Yes, we have fork(). You maybe should look at config.log for the configure error.
I use dooble-qt6 to access github. There's still stuff that doesn't work and dooble-qt6 isn't very stable.
