Hi, everybody.
I'm looking for one elusive OS/2 edition that seems very rare these days.
In general, versions 1.x Standard were less common because OS/2 was most often used in the corporate segment.
There were three main releases in the 1.3x line: 1.30, 1.30.1 and 1.30.2, each of the versions was in two editions: Standard and Extended.
Version 1.30.1 Standard has not been found so far. Does anyone still have this edition?
Presumably, this edition has the following characteristics:
– Distribution kit 3.5" 10x1.44m
– On the front side of the box in the upper left corner there is the text "Refresh Level 1.30.1".
– P/N of box 84F7588 (for US version).
The value on the labels of the floppy disks is 1.30.1 (for the US version) or 1.31 (for the UK version).
– The date of the files is approximately 04/1991.
– The OS2KRNL version is 7.220.
– I'm not sure about the value of SYSLEVEL. At that time, IBM did not always label CSD correctly. Most likely, the value is XR00000, XR05000 or XR05015.
– Not to be confused with MS OS/2 1.30.1, which has an internal version of 7.224MS.
There were two versions: US and UK. The characteristics of the UK version are similar, but I know less about it. Presumably, there could be a version 5.25", but I'm not sure about that.
Does anyone have this rare edition?
I checked WinWorld, BA, archive.org this issue is nowhere to be found in Internet.
There is no practical point in searching for this particular version, the interest here is historical. I want to find this elusive issue. I'm interested in both the UK and US versions, and I hope I can find at least one of them.
Thank you for your answers.
Best regards.
