There is an USB version. Could this work with eComStation?

I mean technically, sure why not?
It would need a driver though right?

About the USB TV Tuner, there is no driver for OS/2-eCS.

I have a Hauppauge WinTV USB arround and long ago I shared some e-mails with an OS/2 developer (from OS2tv.com) and told me that will not be a hard challenge to make a USB driver for it, since the chipset driver (B858 ?) was already ported, but it had be change the recognize the USB instead the PCI. But I never found a developer willing to make it work.

I don't know which chipset is using the ATI TV Wonder 650 Combo USB. Or if there is available some driver that can be reuse for that.

uhm... , there are some drivers available for Linux (at SourceForge - GNU GPL License)
http://sourceforge.net/projects/usbvision/

But on the compatibility list, there is no ATI.

This is a little off topic, but if anyone wants a good cheap solution for TV on OS/2.  Buy an old WIN TV PCI (USA version) from eBay.  Then use an older version of Warpvision for the TVin feature.  This gives a great picture and if you have to use a cable box, just set warpvision on channel 4 and use the remote from the cable company. :)  The last version of warpvision has a bug that will not set the picture to NSTC, but if you only need channel 3 or 4 it is fine to use.

I am using a non-OS dependent box to display TV on my computer monitor:

It is called, "KWorld TVBox 1440ex". The only issue with this device is that it is analog only, meaning that when analog signals are no longer being broadcast, you have a nice paperweight. However, if you use cable TV anyway, then this would not be an issue.

Personally, I wish I would have got the one with a digital receiver. Hindsight is always 20/20 isn't it? I do like the ability for PIP (Picture in Picture) and being able to switch to full screen. It can also be connected to a DVD player, which can accept a 480P signal, instead of broadcast 480i, which can be grainy.

Another option are the lower end Hauppauge cards (or the higher end if you decide you don't mind spending more money for their added capabilities).

Check out:

For a list of compatible ones (I think someplace there was mention of it working with higher end cards than the 350 as well, but cant find it at the moment).

EDIT: Per the Changes file, the 500 and certain MCE versions should be supported... check out this file as well..
