Greetings:
I am unloading a bit of my older IBM hardware and needed to put OS/2 onto a newer Pentium 3 box I have. I have a Gateway Pro Series which the installer just locked up on right as you try to read the first install diskette which is from the newer install set at warpdoctor.com.
I am not sure the GW2K does not have some hardware issues and so I am actually donating it away and getting a Gateway E-4200 at some point. I could use some advice on whether I need to fix the installer or whether I can just get to the 4.5 version and where I might find that CD and install floppies (eg: already slipstreamed with Fp 15).
Advice is welcome.
Thanks,
Mike Needham
Hi Mike
I think you need to create your own build of Warp4.5 using UpdCD http://xenia.sote.hu/~kadzsol/rexx/sajat/updcd.htm
Might be worth checking that you have all required update packages using Oliver Rick's Website http://web.archive.org/web/20060926004541/http://www.warpupdates.mynetcologne.de/

Pete, thanks for that info. I am not sure how you would incorporate fp15 into your custom cd as well as the updated boot floppies, but the graphics drivers are definitely probably helpful.
If someone here would be willing to offer kind of a step by step of everything I need to do or be willing to make the CD and send the ISO (please PM me on this one). That would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance for all the help.
Mike
Hi mike
I've never used UpdCD myself but suspect you would need to spend a bit of time having a good read of the instructions.
I see there are also some Warpstock Presentations on the UpdCD homepage which may be of help.
I would offer to attempt to build the updated CD for you but no longer have a Warp4 CD as the starting point - I went to eCS as an easier option in late 2001 :-)
Maybe you should consider purchasing a Warp4 to eCS2.0 upgrade.
