Title: Flash
Post by: mobybrick on 2009.07.23, 00:07:48
Any update on progress with the Flash development? It sounded a month ago like a beta might have been imminent...

I've heard horror stories on the web somewhere about the Flash development...

Hopefully it is coming along nicely. I'd still like to see some Java love.

We (mensys) have a second build from the developer and its working better. The text rendering that Flash 10 has some additions for is working now. More tests are needed.

A large chunk of work has gone into updating the ODIN code.

Current build works reasonable with Firefox 3.x but not with Firefox 2.x from current testing. We are still working to make it more stable. From time to time it crashes the browser.

Its almost midnight here, some quick screenshots from my laptop.

Thanks Roderick, keep up the good work!!

Btw, do you think, that the updated ODIN core might be used as a new Java wrapper, ala Innowin?

Thanks again for the update.

More important, will Odin work be continued and released so we may have a Win32 compatibility tool like WINE for Linux? It'd certainly make eCS more attractive for me as my primary OS.

Roderick, I hope you will make it to have (at least) beta test version included in RC7.

Mr.Roderick , and the bang-up job. I expect it of release of the Flash10.
The thing that [Youtube] can be seen without the upgrade warning has been understood.

Then, can you see also with [veoh]http://www.veoh.com/ (http://www.veoh.com/) usually?
We eCS and OS/2 users are warned to upgrade on a top screen of [veoh], and are at a loss.
Does such a state become a past story?
