Would it be easier to install eCS on the Inspiron 9 than the EEE PC?  ???

Doubt it. It's going to need the USB finagling to install just like all the other netbooks without IDE CD-ROM drives.

It would be "neat" if OEMs like HP, Dell, Lenovo.... start talking to the eCS folks (or vice-versa) about getting OS/2-eCS to run easily on their machines.  8)

Best regards.

Without a cd drive, it would not be easy to install eCS on them but I was thinking that the Dell Inspiron 9 would less difficult (not as hard) to install eCS onto.  ;D I am still planning on trying to install eCS 2.0 onto my EEE PC when it becomes available to non-soft sub people. I am trying to upgrade the memory and increasing the size of the SSD by adding another one (in the mini-pci-e port on the bottom of my EEE PC - I seem to have the rarer 701a which has an open connector for it).  8)

I guess that I would keep an an eye and an ear open to know when and if there is going to be a selling off at Lehman's (Wall Street) and pick up one or two machines from this auction then I can attempt to get eCS running on these.  8) ;) 8)
