The INI icon is the one found in FM/2. For some reason, it becomes the INI default icon for eCS 2.0.Your are correct that some of the front detailing is lost on some of the book icons. I am not sure of an easy way around this. You will be amazed at how easy it is to recognize the icons once the mind adjusts.
I just received word that my trashcan icons were rejected for XWP which is fine. It is a shame the trashcan icons are the only icons one cannot replace on the eCS desktop manually. I myself refer what I created.
I too like my cmd icons. However, you would be surprised how many like the original eCS angled cmd icons. I just wanted to create something different from the cmd default icons.
The Decorative Scheme Palette is the one of the icons in my picture that DOES come with eCS 2.0. It is not my creation.
Any of the system setup icons with the rounded corners are of my creation. They did not come with eCS 2.0 Most can be downloaded from Hobbes. However, not all system setup icons found on Hobbes are my latest. Maybe when I get time, I can upload a more up-to-date package. Some I modifed as per suggestions by Paul for inclusion in the possible next release of XWP.
I am now experimenting using briefcases for folders. What makes eCS unique and yet labor intensive to work with is how the folder icons can be created.
In windows, you use ONLY one icon for all folders including the open and close folders. The icon may contain different size icons.
In eCS, you have an open and close folder. Each open and close folder usually contains 4 different and unique size icons. So say for one icon such as the internet folder, one actually has to create 8 different icons. Each program can have its own unique folder icon.
It would be so simple to create a scheme using the Windows method, and believe me, I thought about trying it for a scheme. Essential, the basic default folder icon would be used for all folder icons. The only way to tell a program folder from another program folder would be the text.
