Nice graphic, CyberSpittle.

Getting something like that under OS/2 can't be easy.

What tools did you use?

I use the DOS version ov POV-Ray (Persistence Of Vision Raytracer). It is no longer supported ... there was an OS/2 version (unoffcial), but I always liked the DOS version (should still be available as a legacy download from www.povray.org). I'm getting back into graphics again and thought I would try it. Povray still works in a VDM.

Nice Job! Isn't POV-Ray more of a programming way of making graphics?

Hey Tex (makes me think of THX),

It is a scripting language that you work with. You position the camera, light(s), and object(s). The pov engine renders the scene. If you use the clock variable, you can render a number of pictures and combine them into an animation (GIF, AVI, SWF, etc.). With OS/2, you can use the Video-in tool and combine the files into an animation. Pretty cool out of the box using OS/2 (eCS) and a free 3-D graphics app. If you combine it with the (now free DOS version) wire-frame modeler, MORAY, you can do some cool stuff. I haven't worked with MORAY, as I have enough on my plate with POVRAY.

For all you people without a pic with your post, I made this animated GIF for people to use. It would be cool if OS2WORLD used it as the default image for people with out a pic (Hint, hint, hint).

Nice! I have experieinced a lot of non-responses in the world of email. Anything we can do to get people excited about eCS (or OS/2) would benefit us also.
