I'm nearly done with updating my computer with flash, acrobat 5, Firefox, tcpip4.1 (I'm exhausted). Saw that I didn't have the latest and greatest fat32support so wpi'd the above file. Now my computer doesn't see my fat32 partition. I have, of course, reread, reinstalled, and made a few substitutions with no success. I'm running on a Toshiba Tecra 8000, PII 400Mhz with 2 HDDs. I'm running W4FP15dd2. HPFS format (except the 1 FAT32 used to exchange files from W9 . When I run diskinfo it reports 1 fat32 partition found! (correct) WARNING! : /P xx not specified. Only 'normal' partitions are assigned a sequence number! FAT32.LOG reports: P:17 T:4A D:0 T:29:757 FS_FSCTL returned 0I'm guessing partfil.flt is still needed, but I thought this new wpi was supposed to eliminate that. If this has been answered before, I apologize, I couldn't find it in a search. Also, thanks to the many of you for your articles, tips, replies on forums. I have used os2 almost exclusively since W3 came out, and the last few weeks have been the first time I've had to ask for help. (I don't know anyone else that uses os2). Admittedly I'm a minimalist, and have generally adopted the attitude 'if I can't get it to run on os2, I don't need it'. Many people are disgusted w/ Windows, and feel they have no place to turn. For the herd, that is basically correct. |

If you did not, you now need to do so. ftp://ftp.netlabs.org/pub/fat32/fat32_netlab_dani.wpi Did you download and install the following package? ftp://ftp.netlabs.org/pub/fat32/f32_0911.wpi If you did not do so, do this now. If you installed the whole first package mentioned above, then install the 0911 driver over it. If partflt driver is installed, remove from config.sys. Run chkdsk after installing. reboot and see if that worked Recomment changing the default options for the following line in your config.sys before rebooting to the following. CALL=F:\ECS\BIN\CACHEF32.EXE /L:OFF /F Change the F to your drive letter. David |

| One last thing. If you are still having problems, use seek and scan to check for duplicates of the files. fat32.ifs |

| Well, I have had at least partial success by using the MT switch on DaniDASD. The documentation seems to say this should not be necessary, but at least it appears I have access without using partflt. Thanks for your time Steve |
