I changed the 'signature' on my e-mail address(es - I have more than one e-mail address) to show eComStion, its logo (the os for the internet generationi) and the url (http://www.ecomstation.com ). Since Serenity Systems does not seem to promote eCS (it would be nice if there were ads in magazines [not just computer ones]), this is my way to promote it (whenever I send an e-mail for information, make a comment, say 'hello' or whatever, I will be sending an ad for eCS ).

Yep! A very simple yet good idea.
I was thinking about getting rid of my vintage quotes anyway. This could surely attract people to take a glimpse at eCS. Especially in times when people are searching to get away from that ever-security-leaking crash prone so-called operating system but are afraid of Linux for whatever reason.
Sadly enough, Serenity doesn't sponsor such signatures.

Forcing someone to download an image by including it or a reference in your email won't make you very popular - and eCS likewise. Not to mention the fact that you need to use HTML mails to do the latter, which is a big no-no itself.

The 'signature' file I use is a simple text file without having to download any graphics from anywhere. I created a text file using IBM Works and saving it as a .txt file. In Mozilla for OS/2, it has an option of 'attaching' a 'signature file' which I did. It does not hinder or slow down the e-mail when loading.

It is similar to the one I use when posting to this forum.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
* * * * * * eComStation * * * * * * * * * * * * *
* * * the os for the internet generation * * * * * *
* * * http:/www.ecomstation.com * * * * * * * * *
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

It is something like the above (a slightly different one
for each of my e-mail address but all containing the
same information but in text only - nothing to download
from other sites and no pictures/grahpics - nothing to
slow it down ).
