| Yes, it is. eCS is an OEM version of OS/2 that includes all the upgrades from IBM and as well lots of other software included, such as Lotus SmartSuite, etc. Worth looking into if you have the plans to upgrade instead of going with IBM Software Choice (you'll get the IBM updates also if you go with eCS). |

| There was news of IBM dropping Software Choice (IIRC). IMHO - it would be better to upgrade to eComStation; an improved version of OS/2 Warp. If one wanted to save money, one can order just the eCS os on the first two cd's or spend the extra money and receive the software (seems worth the extra price).

Also if you currently have Warp 4 the price to upgrade to eCS v1.2 is really nice, almost half price off or something. Check with www.mensys.nl - guess that US visitors can recommend closer dealer ![]() |

| http://www.bmtmicro.com This is where I ordered my eCS 1.1. I like BMTMicro since they also sell OS/2-eCS software (plus software for different platforms). --- BigWarpGuy - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - OS/2 Warp-ed/eComStation-ed to the very end. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - |
