1. HPFS to JFS Booting? |
|
|
http://www.ecssite.com/sw/upgrades/jfs/JFSbooting.Zip Here is a file that - supposedly - converts HPFS to JFS where one can boot from JFS. Does it work? Does it delete/remove data from the disc/partition that is being converted? Is it worth converting to JFS? Has anyone used it before?

Unfortunately, the conversion file to which you referred seems to have disappeared. It would be great if such a utility existed and was reliable since the time involved in copying and converting partitions on congested hard drives is daunting. I've only converted about 25% of my hard drive space to JFS as a result.

I checked the site again. It seems to have been removed. I will see if it is anywhere else.

If this is the file I am thinking of, it was posted by mistake. The file contained some non-public drivers, and should not have been posted in public places. I think the drivers were alpha versions of some drivers being tested.
