| Have you tried http://www.ebay.com ? (using the search 'os/2' or 'os2' ? ). I have found different OS/2 versions up for bids and OS/2 programs. I try to check it on a regular basis (if I find one, I will come back with the url). BigWarpGuy OS/2 Warp-ed to the very end. |

| http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2048404527 According to the site, it is still 'shrink wrapped' in its box. This is the first time I have seen it for version 1. As of 08-26, there is about 3-4 days left to the auction (IIRC). OS/2 Warp-ed to the very end. |

It is not often one sees one - especially if it is still in its shrink wrapped box.

| http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2048404527 Another one (?). The bids are still rather low. There is only about a day left on the auction. BigWarpGuy OS/2 Warp-ed to the very end. |

I have the original OS/2 1.0 Extended Edition with database and stuff included. I'll keep it though. According to Michal Necasek it's quite rare. |

yes, it's very rare. Friend of mine at IBM had all the version in origianl boxes but they went into waste bin a while ago. Before I hade the chance to say that I wanted them.. <grrr>. Hmm My oldest original OS2 I got is the v2.0 and as well the the so called Golden Beta CD (it's golden as the colour ).I'm curious to see how well the 1.3 version performs on a new system and if it after all works. Guess that large disk will give some headache and that the newer drivers won't work. So I really have to dig after a small disk as well I guess |

| It is a shame he did not try to sell it on eBay.com (it might have been before it was popular[?]). Did they (the sellers) able to mail it to you? OS/2 Warp-ed to the very end. |

Yes, they will ship it (I hope that they already done that) to me for an extra cost of $27.00 so the total cost for it will be $61.67 for a OS/2 v1.3. ![]() |

Have at look at Michals OS/2 history article in the VOICE Newsletter that deals with that version. IIRC he mentioned something about patching a driver. If you ask him, I think he'll give you a copy. |

![]() Hi, Kim, I've found a number of older versions of OS/2 by looking around thrift shops that sell software donated to them, though no 1.x versions. RadarCat, Webmaster |

| All of my 1.x versions (IBM 1.2 - shrink wrapped and Microsoft 1.1 OEM for Fujitsu computer) both were found on eBay. The seller for the Microsoft version has a box of Microsoft OS/2. They are OEM (original equipment manufactured) floppies shrink-wrapped by themselves; ie no box, manuals, etc. On eBay you can set up a search agent with your account, so that you receive emails regularly. Unfortunately, I seem to get a lot of "OS" stuff (OS X, Amiga OS, etc) as the "/" is filtered out. Hmmm, got ot work on that one. |
