Hi, I an building a new (newer) system with an assortment of OS's Multiboot (OS2 V452, eCS 1.2 or 2.0, Linux RH EL3/4, and Win98.)
I am trying to make a list of current updates available/needed for Warp CP2. IBM's updates have slowed (but not stopped) so I expect this list to be fairly stable.
Here is what I have so far... My questions at the end.
cs_144_12-15-2005 (service program)
XR_C005 (Base system CSD)
XR_D003 (System driver updates)
xr_f001 (only for pentium > 512Meg memory?)
WR08708 (MPTS Network support and NIC updates)
UN02334 (TCPIP_43_CSD )
os2ldr_1-13-2006 (loader updates)
os2spdst_12-15-2005 (Power and seedstep)

LVM 6-13-2006 (Logical Volume manager)
JFS 6-13-2006 (Journaled File System)
slpr_12-13-2004 (Streaming printer LPR update)
irda_12-15-2005 (IrDA Stack updates)
usbbasic_1-13-2006 (USB Base support)
usbmsd_1-13-2006 (USB Mass Storage)
usbser_1-13-2006 (USB Serial)
usbkeybd_1-13-2006 (USB Keyboard)
usbmouse_1-13-2006 (USB Mouse)

OS2_Browser_205 (WEB Browser V2.05)
snapse218 (Snap Graphics)
smouse_12-15-2005 (New mouse support for scroll mice etc)
Java_131_SR9 (Latest update to Java 1.31 from IBM)
Optional replacements I plan to use:
DANIS506
DaniATAPI
AMOUSE 2.7 05-21-2006
Snap Graphics full registered version (about $20)
Mozilla OS2 build V??
This list does not include the optional support for usb ethernet and other misc support
or other "system" software like RSJ or cdrecord etc.
Are there any other updates I missed? IBM Peer or network updates? Some that are not needed?
Where are the latest kernels? (I am using an AMD XP Processor)
Thank you,
Bart
