I found a Palm Pilot emulator for OS/2. It is called CoPilot/2. It would not run without the palm.rom. Where can I get this file? Has anyone had any experience with this program? I downloaded it from http://hobbes.nmsu.edu. The developers web site is http://www.hanisch.com (they have it wrong at Hobbes). It was beta 1. The date it had was 1997/May/25.

Why one want a Palm emulator? Okey, I guess if You can sync it with another Palm it would be used to clean up the content in a Palm. Hmm okey why not? Not trying to be negativ, but was wondering!

Tom, I saw that Martin has added Copilot/2 to his list over emulators for OS2 at his page, ie http://www.os2world.com/emulator . But mentioned as very unstable.

I think I saw something about Palm and other PDA's connections at http://www.os2site.com (IIRC).

Thanks for the information. If it is unstable, it could explain why it would not run or had trouble running.

PS I saw the Palm emulator at a web site and thought it would be neat to try. When it did not work, I searched to see if anyone else tried it and where they downloaded/obtained the .rom file from. Why would anyone want one? Perhaps so they could try the Palm pilot before buying one (to see if they would like it without having to buy one)?

The Palm Pilot Emulator is free and open source from the Palm site. But the ROMS are hard to get.

I know that palm was giving them away by subscribing on the site and setting an agreement that you will not share them.

The ROMs and emulators are very used to the palm applications developers to dont be everytime sync the application to the palm device to test it.
