Who has already installed GenMac200 drivers on a Fat16 partition? (warp 4)?

Will this work?
I want to do it.
But when I unzip it in windozs, I see long filenames and long dirnames.

I have OS2 warp 4 (without fixpak) running on a fat 16 partition.

I have a integrated nic Marvel 11AB:4362 ! !
Or who has an other proposition?

regrads,
phe

Urgh! Warp4 on FAT16? Why are you doing this?
Obviously you can do what you want with your PC, but installing Warp4 on FAT16 is asking for problems, and moreover it won't show you the real power of OS/2.
Recent software rely on longname support: you will definitely have problems.
The only reason to use FAT16 is if you want to install OS/2 along with Windows on the same partition ("dual boot"), but that is an old way of doing things. Best way is assigning a logical boot partition to OS/2 and installing IBM's boot manager.

Hope this helps..

Hi Chris,

I switched over to HPFS.
But I need to add a parameter to CDFS.IFS (/W) to have long filenames.

OK this works now.

I triede to install genmac200 + driver marvel (11AB:4362), but I got error when fixpak 15 was not installed.
So I installed it.
Now I do not get any error anymore.
But I want to activate a propriarity protocol of Telemecanique (ETHWAY) (This is a kind of netbios protocol).
I can install the protocol. (without any errors).
But when I start communication in the application, I get a communication error feedback.

I installed also TCP/IP on the genmac driver (as descripted in the documentation).

Can you help me to search the cause (and afterwarts to a solution)?

regards,

phe

I think there may be a native driver for this network chipset on Hobbes. I downloaded it but have not yet tried it myself...
