Back again.
My upside down image problems (back in Jan.) are gone with 1.0.7

Now, have I missed something with the current Firefox release?

Do/does "Saved Form Information" work under OS/2?

I can't find anyone else complaining about it, so I wonder if I am unique with this problem. It is something I really liked with Opera on OS/2 - except Opera called it personal information - and it worked well for repetitive name, street, city, state, country, phone, etc.

Thanks in advance

Yes it works. I use Firefox 1.07 and there I find on/off/clear under Tools-Options-Privacy-Saved From Information. You can enjoy the function also with Firefox!

Thanks for the feedback.

I have the option checked. But to no avail.

I'm currentlywriting from an XP version of Firefox. In a very limited test it seems to work - but my OS/2 version (Warp) does not.

Any suggestions?

I've used Firefox for a long time and since version 1.0 have had no problems at all with it. Though there is often problems when using different skins so I've given that up. Hope you can solve your problems, because it's a great browser (and the only updadate one(?) for OS/2-eCS).

As a test, create a new profile and try the forms while logged in under it.

Often the profile(s) become corrupted and causes weird things, (like that which you describe), to happen.

I keep regular backups of all my profiles just in case.

HTH you.

Well, I certainly need a primer/tutorial on Firefox profiles.

I resorted to totally removing Firefox and reinstalling.

So far, in limited tests, I see no difference in Saved Form Information abilities -

Where are your profiles stored?

Find out and temporarily rename the folder, (assuming it's not in your firefox directory), and then restart Firefox.

Are there any changes?

Also, what browser did you use before FF?

Ben,
Thanks for the response.

I've beenoff in XP land working on a huge 35mm slide editing and conversion effort. It's amazing how much time can be lost on software glitches....

Back to Firefox. After a lot of OS/2 Firefox use tonight, ordering some things from 4 different vendors, I can absolutely say that the saved form information is not working.

My previous OS/2 browser - since it first became available as a Win/OS/2 app, has been Opera. I'd still use it, but it doesn't always work with some of the sites, and Firefox does - except for the saved form information.

If I knew where profiles were stored I'd follow your instrucitons, Firefox/Mozilla seems to have me at my wits end. Nothing seems easy - so some advice on how to find out the profile file name would be appreciated.

Thanks
Dave

Check your config sys for your mozilla "Home" directory.

Assuming that it's set, you'll find your profiles folder in there.
