I'm looking for one "original" full sibyl, that is, the package with OS2-Win32 IDE and compiler, as it was when discontinued ( original package not required, but appreciated ). I'm able to pay a fee for it. Somebody has it?

Hi Why do you want the original Sibyl? You can download a current variation on Sibyl that is being maintained/updated here - as far as I can tell both OS/2 and Windows are supported. http://members.chello.at/webstar/wdsibyl.html If you really must have Sibyl "original" - do you mean at fixpack3 or 4 level? - email me directly and let me know where in the world you are; I'll let you know what the airmail cost is for a cd.

I'm refering to the original Sibyl. WDSibyl is good, but it breaked almost all compatibility with old Sibyl and with almost all other pascal's libraries implementation ( Delphi, FPC ) changing the unit structure, to one more logical -that's true- but less standard. Also documentation is not updated with this changes. Also is true they improved the original units ( adding new features, correcting a lot of bugs ). But i'm more interested in compatibility. I think FixPack 4 still can be downloaded from hobbes, so this is not a problem. I'm emailing you now. Thank you a lot!

Peter has sent it to already. Thank you. The software is officially abandonded. Company has disapeared. Also, lots of its code are now open-source ( the ide, spcc ), but others, simply are "lost" ( the compiler, some tools, installers, ... ) So I don't know if it's illegall or not. I would like to contact to the original writers to "buy" it. But, where are they? I'd like to "mail" them.

Hi Edu >The software is officially abandonded. >Company has disapeared. Yes I know, I had some contact with them for a couple of years, but has no more :o( >Also, lots of its code are now open-source ( the ide, spcc ), but >others, simply are "lost" ( the compiler, some tools, installers, ... Tell me about it ! I have found some errors in some units, and heve corrected, some of them, but was unable to compile because the source to some units was missing. I have solved it by stealing from WDsibyl, with some success ;o)

As I've said WDSibyl is a good product, there's a lot of work on its back, includes a lot of bug-fixes and implements new classes with new features. But they prefered to loose a lot of compatibility with hundreds of thousands lines of code already written. And I want to see what I can do with the "original" Sibyl, and some classes Delphi2-compatible I have. Trying to build them under Windows and eCS.
