Subject  :  PCI Parallel Port driver?

Some one at the forum at http://en.os2.org was asking for an OS/2 driver for a PCI parallel port card. I mentioned that he should check the bios to see if there is a 'switch' to be turned on to let the os see the card. I also told him to check http://hobbes.nmsu.edu , http://www.os2site.com and http://www.ibm.com for drivers for this sort of card. Is there any other information that should or could have been given him? Any help would be appreciated.
OS/2 Warp-ed to the very end.

The file pcidev.tbl (part of the latest print01package from de device drivers page)shows th following supported pci parrallel port cards:

- siig chipsets
- lava port products
- timedia
- connecttech

I don't know if adjustments in the pcidev.tbl are possible to make other cards work. I own a Syba Tech parralel port adaptor and it doesn't work in OS/2.

The card we have is a SIIG PCI single port parallel card. The latest drivers that I can find are for Warp 4 and the problem I have is with the file server which runs Warp 3. I have the card installed in the file server but can't find any drivers for Warp 3.The file server is at the latest maintenance level available (FP 43 + Spooler 37)

I have the PCI COM and Parallel port drivers installed and working just fine in our other machines which are Warp 4 CP 2 but I can't find an equivalent driver for WARP 3.

Any help would be welcome.

Thanks,
Joe
