Hi,

i'm trying to get dosbox to work with a com port, is it possible? and how can i test if they are communicating?

If you mean the DOS box in OS/2, yes.

The simplest way is to get a modem (ie hayes compatible) and connect it to the com port. Open a dos prompt. Issue command "dir > comX". The TD & RD lights of modem should be flash for a while.

Generally OS/2 Dosboxes don't have any difficulty talking to a Com port as long as OS/2 itself can talk to the Com port.

There are some Com port settings in the Dos settings that you can play with if you have trouble. Generally the documentation is quite good and explanantory, so be sure to check it.
