The following instructions will make it possible (thanks to Jack Troughton/Daniela Engert at eGroups). Copy the eCS version of os2dasd.dmd and os2lvm.dmd to \os2\boot on your warp 4 partition, and optionally copy lvm.exe and lvm.msg to \os2. Put BASEDEV=OS2LVM.DMD after the os2dasd statement in your config.sys. Reboot warp 4; it will now understand all the assignments set in lvm, and you can run lvm in warp 4. |

Have you tried asking this question at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/os2conect? They seem to be more active and more people willing to help. It requires membership but the membership is free.

| Well, that's all good and well if you can get access to those files, and more power to ya' if you can, but there are some of us who can't get access to 'em. regards, arr |

| I believe that's nonsense because OS/2 Connect is based on Warp 3 !?! Well, if one does not care about ones DATA ... ... than go ahead and play with such things ! |

| Huh, what are you talking about? This thread has nothing to do with installing lvm on OS/2 Connect - it's about installing lvm on WARP 4! kind regards, arr |

But if one points to OS/2 Connect Group ... ... that's not a good pointer !This may cause curious thoughts ... ... or dangerous activities, perhaps !? Regards, sam |
