Hi All,

I've been at least 3 years a part from OS/2. Now I'd like to install it again, but there're a lot of things I don't remember and some more things new as I can see.

So here're my questions:

- Last FP was 15? I think this is prety old by now.. didn't IBM intend to continue support longer?

- What's this eCM thing I keep reading in the forums?

- What's Convenience Pack 4.52 ?? (it seems to be only for US_EN, will it install on ES_ES?)

- What's Desktop on Call?

- Whats Personal Communications?

- Have a CD (Software Choice Vol. 9). What's this?

Thats a lot I know.. I'll be grateful for any info.

Thanks,
Mckennan

Yes, it was last free fixpack for Warp4. FP16 available for Software Choice subscribers.
IBM no longer support Warp4. To get support you must switch to CP or eCS.

- What's this eCM thing I keep reading in the forums?

eComStation - http://www.ecomstation.com - new OS/2 distributive from Serenity Systems Inc., based on CP code.

- What's Convenience Pack 4.52 ?? (it seems to be only for US_EN, will it install on ES_ES?)

New OS/2 distributive from IBM which include all system fixes and updates, as well other updated components (TCP/IP, Java, etc...). Available for Software Choice subscribers.

- What's Desktop on Call?

Remote control application. You can control your OS/2 from any computer using a Java-enabled browser.

Some questions omitted, because I can't say something on it.

- Whats Personal Communications?

Above is a client software to connect to host application on either AS400 or 390 system using 3270/5250 connection. Most companies has converted to use Host On-Demand; Java version of Personal Communication.
