So when finally manage to get around to get the wireless part to work and as well getting drivers for the BroadCom 4401 NICs - one should be happy - and I am ![]() But, has anyone a solution how to get two NIC's running against the same IP and running as well on the same time? Meaning, when I don't want to use the the wireless or are at home and have the need to download large files >100mb - is there any simple way to switch betwen what NIC to be used - except having to change the protocol order within MPTS? |

Assuming static IP addresses and lan/wlan as first/2nd card in mpts, write two short command files similar like that: lan_to_wlan.cmd : wlan_to_lan.cmd |

| Or use two "SETUP.CMD"(uniquely named - of course) files generated by "TCPCFG2" each enabling just one of the NICs. This will have the same affect as Robert_Ls' suggestion, but also allows you to use DHCP.

| On system boot you get a blue screen with the choice of the existing archives ! Choosing "x" one get the system booting with the respective (perhaps insufficient) system environment !! The respective config.sys for "x" can be found in y:\OS/2\Boot\config.x !!! Copy your present config.sys (with LAN settings) as config.L to y:\OS2\boot !! In altf1top.scr add the 2 following lines after F6 leaving one line blank: L LAN environment and do not forget to set a pause to the archive at boot-up ! Booting the system next time choose either "L" or "W" accordingly to your network environment Good luck ! |
