I recently purchased Jbuddy Messenger Pro after MrMessage decided to stop working mysteriously, and I need help getting it to run.The previous Jbuddy Messenger trial I used worked with this as the cmd file:
c:\java142\bin\java.exe -cp JBuddyMessenger.jar;JBuddyMessengerResources.jar;lax.jar com.zion.apps.messenger.Chat
However that was a 1.0 and this is Jbuddy pro is 2.2. The cmd file doesn't seem to work and there are multiple new jar files, some in a \lib\ subfolder.
I am at a loss how to execute this program
Could someone with more java experience assist me in getting this program to work under eCS? The trial version can be downloaded here:

Thanks for your help
Hi
Wonder if it is a problem caused by the crap java "InstallAnywhere" installer that they used for jbuddy...
Did the install complete successfully?
I used:-
[G:\Download.OS2\PureJava]java -cp g:\download.os2\purejava\JBMProInstaller2_2_1207.jar; install
( in case of line wrap: all 1 line with space between -cp and g:)
That fired up the installer OK (I have java in the PATH), I pointed it to my \java142\jre\bin directory to set the jvm bit and let it install to my Home directory.
I then went away for 10 minutes to see if the installer could complete without glitching still - No, it cannot, it still hangs on Installing... Uninstaller.
Shame the installer still fails but the developers were not interested when the problem was reported years ago.
So, there is the 1st problem - the Installer craps out.
I had a look at trying to get this started but could not get past "cannot find main class"...
I suggest contacting the developers and asking for the command line to use to start the Pro version - but do not expect them to get it exactly right, they should get close though.
Regards
Pete
