I have read that there are hard drive limitations for OS/2. Is this true? If yes, what is the size limitation? I just bought a 20 gig hard drive from http://www.tigerdirect.com for $99. If there are limitaions and this drive exceeds them, is there a way around it?

If You're using either Warp 3 or 4 without and FixPaks. Well, You might get into trouble.... but if You have the latest FPs You have support for it. Well, that sort of did not help Guess that You wither want to reinstall Your system onto the new drive. Well, what You would want to do then is to download updated installations diskettes for Warp 4 or for Warp 3 the updated IDE-drivers that handles larger driver.

Quote:

"FixPak 35 (FP35) for Warp 3 and FixPak 6 (FP6) for Warp 4 extended support
for fixed Enhanced IDE drives to sizes up to 8.4GB and added new caching HPFS
and FAT file system support for removable media drives such as SCSI Syquest
Syjet 1.5GB portable hard drive and the Iomega jaz 1GB and 2GB personal hard
drives."

Link to download above mentioned updates is:

Thanks for the information. Does it upgrade the fdisk.exe program? Is the other updates affect the fdisk.exe program? Is there a program that can be used instead of the fdisk.exe program? the format.com program?

The upgrade it self will not make any changes or updates of fdisk.exe since there is no need for that. It is just a matter of getting the proper drivers that support larger disks. This would be the trick.
