1. Password delay and lock screen at system startup |

Hello Doodle, thanks for your work and thanks Christian for translating the screensaver into german. I like the idea of the "delay password protection" after screensaving (saves lots of typing ) but.. i use "start saver module on startup" too and in combination with the password delay it's pretty useless. Could you change the behaviour of this (so even with password delay there is no delay at system startup)?I know that "start saver module on startup" is no real safety but it's good enough to prevent people using the reset button to pass the password of the screensaver. Thanks, Klaus |

Okay. I guess, that there is no use of starting the saver module on startup, of there is no password protection turned on at all, so it might be better to move the whole setting from the General group to the Password protection group, so starting the saver module at system startup would only be possible if password protection is turned on. What do you think? Doodle |

Excelent idea, make sense to me. So "lock screen at system startup to the password group. And the "delay password protection" is dissabled on system startup but works when the "normal" screensaver is active. thanks, Klaus ps are there any more modules availible for this Screensaver? (ok, not important - but sometimes i like childish things:-)) |

I don't have time these days, so no, I haven't made any more yet. Feel free to extend the list with newly created modules yourself, there are tutorials about how to do that. (see articles at www.edm2.com) Doodle |

I'd love to try to create a saver (i was thinking about something like the old "eye-bee-M"-screensaver for windows, shouldn't be too complicated to create it out of the sample of edm2.com but i haven't used C for years (long time ago at a university project), which compiler do you think would be best for OS/2 today? |
