"
I was having problems with my computer so I called Arnold, the computer guy to come over. You know the type; thick glasses, unshaven, pocket protector full of pens, pencils and Sharpie markers. Arnold clicked a couple of buttons and solved the problem. He gave me a bill for a minimum service call.

As he was walking away, I called after him, "So what was wrong?"

He replied, "It was an 'ID ten T' error."

I didn't want to appear stupid, but nonetheless inquired, "An ID ten T error? What's that.... in case I need to fix it again?

The computer guy grinned........... "Haven't you ever heard of an 'ID ten T' error before?"

"No," I replied.

"Write it down," he said, "and I think you'll figure it out."

So I wrote out..................... I D 1 0 T

I used to like Arnold........

Another one:

This is a true story.

I used to work as an inbound helpdesk tech for a nationwide retail chain that sells "maintenance agreements" on their computers (extended support/warranty). We sat four to a cube, our backs to each other. One day, I heard one of the techs say to a customer, "Ma'am, it's a PEBKAC error. We'll fix it." Now, up until then, I'd never heard that before.

So, when our break time came, I asked him in the little lunchroom what he meant. He grinned and said, "Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair".

I nearly spit out my lunch laughing.
