"
An Amish boy and his father were in a mall. They were amazed by almost everything they saw, but especially by two shiny, silver walls that could move apart and then slide back together again.

The boy asked, "What is this Father?"

The father (never having seen an elevator) responded, "Son, I have never seen anything like this in my life, I don't know what it is."

While the boy and his father were watching, a very fat lady in a wheel chair moved up to the moving walls and pressed a button. The walls opened and the lady rolled between them into a small room. The walls closed.

The boy and his father watched the small circular numbers above the walls light up sequentially until it reached the last number, and then began to light in the reverse order. Finally the walls opened up again and a gorgeous 24-year-old blonde stepped out.

The father said quietly to his son, "Go get your mother."

Dude, you have WAY too much time on your hands. Surely there are better places to post jokes then on an operating system forum.

I thought Off Topic meant it did not have to do with OS/2 or eCS. I apologize for posting the jokes. I will keep all my posts on topic. I apologize for any inconvenience that it may have caused.

Tom, the problem is that these posts appear on the front page of OS/2 World in the Online Discussion Forum section. Frankly, the only area of the forums that I (and probably most others) have time to read. The forums are useful in terms of problem report/solution, and for OS/2 & eCS specific discussion. If everyone decides they would like to post their "joke of the day" humor there, it will very soon become just another useless OS/2 forum.

There are MORE than enough jokes posted to various forums and email around the web, hopefully obviating the need for them here.

Thanks,
Sander

Hoho! Well, to keep everybody happy I could see to that the OT board won't be included on the main index page. I hope that then keeps everybody happy.

I really enjoyed running across the joke that BigWarpGuy posted.

The Amish elevator joke sure lightened up my otherwise cold and dreary day for several hours!

I don't see any harm in posting it. We all need some humor in our lives!!

I´m currently at the Warpstock so I hope this little issue can wait a few days before fixed.
