I have an OS2 in a box I bought for $5.00 dollars. Its an old version 3.0 and I want to know if I can get an upgrade before I install. I want to evaluate this OS. I am presently running Microsoft windows 95 with an Internet Explorer. This box was never opened until I bought same.

I have OS/2 Warp ver 3 on my notebook computer. It works well without any upgrades (fixpaks found on/at http://www.bmtmicro.com applied (they have 'fixpaks' for ver 3 and ver 4 [the fixpaks are more of an upgrade that fixes]). I also use Warp ver 4 on my desktop computer at home.

There is alot of software at http://www.os2bbs.com, http://hobbes.nmsu.edu, http://www.os2ware.com, http://www.bmtmicro.com, and other sites.

There is also other sites that might help in using or solving problems with OS/2. They are http://www.os2.org, http://os2world.com, http://os2.about.com, http://www.os2ss.com and other sites.

Thanks for answering my mail. I haven't decided to install yet. I may go for a larger hard drive and petition the drive space so I can have both OS. Thanks again. Frank

System Commander is good for when you have multiple operating systems on one hard drive or one computer.

Another place to get help with OS/2 problems is http://groups.yahoo.com/group/os2conect. It is free to join but membership is required before one can post anything. I like to check both this site and the Yahoo site for information.

PS There are other OS/2 groups at Yahoo, too.
ie; http://groups.yahoo.com/group/os2hardware,
etc,

OS/2 Warp-ed to the very end.
