1. USB PCI Cards and OS/2 ? |
My main board has OHCI USB chipset. There are no OS/2 drivers for it. There are OS/2 driers for the UHCI chipset. Are there any PCI USB cards that will work with OS/2 (that have the UHCI chipset?)?

Until the USB drivers have been updated to include the OHCI chipset, one should be careful to make sure the USB PCI card has either VIA or Intel chipset. I bought a D-Link PCI USB card with CMD chipset but the drivers would not load. I have been informed that the CMD chipset is OHCI and not UCHI as stated with the card that came with it.

One can not rely on the photo in/on the catalogue or the web site. The D-Link web site showed their card with VIA chipset but it had the CMD chipset. The Radio Shack catalogue showed their card with the VIA chipset but it arrived with the Dolphin chipset (both CMD and Dolphin are OHCI). If and when you buy a USB PCI card, make sure it has the chipset you are looking for.
