| I used the OS/2 dialer for/from ATTGlobalNetwork ( http://www.attglobal.net ). It can detect the modem but the modem does not respond when I use it. Would this imply the modem is malfunctioning or that the dialer needs updating (I am not sure if I have the most current dialer since I can not dial into the isp and check it). I am using eCS 1.1. The ATTGN icon does not show up on the desktop even though I had installed it and rebooted (well the first time it did but not when I re-installed eCS with the generic settings for video). Any help would be appreciated.

| Try to set up the modem together with some kind of terminal software such as ZOC and use the manual commands to dial a number. If this works there should not be any problem with the modem. Have you ruled out bad COM-ports? |

| Thanks for the information/suggestions. I will give them a try. I am currently using my 'back up' external modem to connect to the internet/check my e-mail.

| I would go for the InJoy dialer that also have great feature; Dial On Demand (DoD). by using this on one system you would be able to set up a internal network with one outgoing line for all system. I recall that you mentioned that you have flat rate; I would use this kind of feature directly since it makes life a bit easier for you. |
