There is one thing I really miss when using os2/ecs instead of Linux/unix and thats virtual desktops. Luckily I found a small utility that seems to solve my problem called "PMVDesk virtual desktop screen manager", it's from 1995 but...

http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/pub/os2/util/wps/pmvd025.zip

I tried this with my ecs system and so far so good. It doesn't have a lot of features but I really don't need that
Anyone tried it for a prolonged time? Any other suggestions?

When you say vd as linux would be more like that you would be able to press ALT+F1 to F4 to jump betwen different WPS? That I would buy right of since ot most of the times would be faster most of the times than clicking around. What about CLI enviroment are there any shell available for OS2 that lets you jump betwen different sessions? That would be really interesting to get as well

Go to hobbes and find MSE, its a very nice application for
virtual desktops. Make sure you download the patched version
which runs under SDD, the older one has a conflict of dlls
with sdd/snap.

Well,
Checked Hobbes for MSE but didn't find anything that looked like virtual desktops...
Could you be a little more specific?

More info, searching for MSE at Hobbes doesn't give any results regarding the mentioned topic.

Hmm.. well ok, XPager is around it works, but I would love to have the possibility of switching VD via the keyboard and as well have the feature to work within CLI-windows as well.

BTW: How is your XPager working with WarpNote ??
Once in a while my notes are scattered outside the virtual desktops!

Apart from that XPager is wonderfull, Using CTRL+ arrow-keys for jumping between the desktops also works fine.
