direct url for the OS/2 (eCS) version at http://www.pkware.com .

http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/pub/os2/util/archiver/pkos2250.exe

It might not be available from http://www.pkware.com to download but I have found it at http://hobbes.nmsu.edu where it is still there (as of 11-14-2003).

Thanks for the link. It was an interesting 'conversation'. I have never had to zip that many files (as per the the link). I usually had one or two to zip (sometimes it would work and sometimes it would not). This was before Iuse an external usb cdrw drive at work with Roxio on a Win computer which I would copy onto cdr disc which I would copy to my hard drive on my Warp 4 computer using RSJ CDWriter (even though it said it could be read on any cdrom drive but I can only the files when the RSJ software has attached a drive letter to it and it is then copied to a temp file directory). I still used Pkzip for Win to create the diskette and Pkzip for OS/2 or Pkzip for DOS to unzip it to my Thinkpad 755Cs with FreeDOS or Thinkpad 755CD with Warp 4. It is not perfect but works well enough for what I wanted to do.

Personally I prefer WarpZip over Pkzip. WarpZip does not do 'multitple diskettes' but that does not bother me since I can copy onto cdr's and cdrw's with CDWriter from RSJ software (even the mini-cdr and mini-cdrw are big enough for many of the larger zip files).

(they have other OS/2-eCS programs too).
