Open question here, but would there be enough interest to set up an OS2 SIG in any of the Nordic countries (Denmark, Norway or Sweden).

If so please leave feedback here!

Sorry for being unclear about using the short for Special Interest Group, ie SIG. What has been said via direct mail is that Göteborg could be a central place to host some sort of OS2 event (education, seminar, Get together event) for a day or two. So far the ideas has been with focus on devoping using OS2 for OS2.

Certainly. But why SPECIAL Interest Group, and where is IBM in this connection?

SIG, Session, Education, call it what you want. Doesn't really matter. My suggestion and question is if there is interest enought to gather some people together on a topic that would meet as many peoples interest.

About IBM I'm not really with you what you mean - please be more specific on what you mean with where is IBM in this connection. As far from my point of view IBM hasn't no interest fo supporting an event in Scandinavia. Regarding Sweden I can speak of what I know and that is IBM Software in Sweden don't have any OS2 skills left (since I was the last individual within IBM Software Sweden with OS2 knowledge and I left IBM 3 years ago).

Another way of getting futher with this dialog for event would be via the user groups active in Norway, Denmark and Sweden. At least I know that there is interest from OS2UG.se to support this event. Do we have anyone from OS2UG in Denmark, Norway and Finland interest in such event?

The nice things about 'online special interest groups' is that they don't have borders and time zones have little meaning plust they are availabe 24/7 (24 hours a day, 7 days a week).
OS/2 Warp-ed to the very end.

What about OS2bfn are they hosting any sort of activities or SIGs ? I'm member of Swedish OS2 User Group and most of the activities are currently focused to the homepage, http://www.os2ug.se . But, it would be great if some sort of co-op could be set up together with the user groups in Norway, Denmark and Sweden. For a start it would be good to figure out who to speak with. Would you be able to help me out or have them to join the dialog here ?

Kim.

They have a page: http://www.os2bfn.no
It is a bit outdated, and since I also have been without a connection now for some months, I'm sort of out of sync.
There are some e-mails listed, so it would be worth trying it...

I'd be interested - I especially like the "Göteborg" part!
