1. Bad Disk 2 of Warp 3 set. Any help?... |
|
|
| Could anyone help with a copy of the OS/2 disk #2. I am resurrecting an old OS/2 machine which had a crashed hard drive. I took out my old set of 21 floppy disks [to do a new install] and found out disk 2 is munched. Could anyone help with a copy of disk 2 or suggest where to get one other than IBM direct. Thanks. MM |

| Hi, MEM9945 I don't have the OS/2 Warp 3 floppy set (just the CD version otherwise I could attach a file copy to an email) but I've seen Warp 3 on floppies go for about $5 on eBay auctions at: http://www.ebay.com Good Luck !! RadarCat, Webmaster http://www.os2warplinks.com |

| Hey RadarCat, Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I have been watching eBay for a few days now but not much has turned up. Just a few Warp 4 ads. My first inclination was eBay too. However, I am not positive that my legacy app I need to run will run properly. It was designed for Warp 3. I can't even contact the mfg to ask if its possible since they dont market the product any longer. Would you be willing to part with a copy of your CD(s)? I'd be happy happy to send you a small PayPal payment for your efforts. Let me know, Mike |

I can help you with the media you require - drop me a note at dljone9@yahoo.com and put WARP 3 DISK in the subject. |

| The floppies can be made from the CD-ROm which contain several batch files. When OS/2 Warp 3 came out, my CD-ROM was not supported. I booted to Windows 3.1, ran the batch file and had my floppies. I then proceeded with my legacy Windows migration to OS/2. |

| Thanks for your reply but another member just helped me out. BTW, my set is the old, 22 diskette version with NO CD at all so I was stuck. |

Hey MEM9945 Glad some one helped you. I just looked at my Warp 3 CD; it has only 15 disks on it so I am not sure that Disk 2 from my CD is what you need. You can go to Google, search for OS/2 Warp and check out all the shopping sites that show up on the right side of the search results page. It might not hurt to get an extra copy of Warp 3 while they are still around to be found. RadarCat, Webmaster http://www.os2warp.com |

| Yeah, mine is 15 also but I was counting the extra printer and display driver disks. |
