Ref. to Adrian Gschwend posting:

Sorry for posting here, it might not be the perfect place but I couldn't find it in the Internet so far so I ask here:

I'm looking for the book

Official Guide to Using OS/2 Warp, PowerPC
by Karla Stagray, Linda Rogers
Publisher: Hungry Minds Inc (June 1, 1996)
ISBN: 1568845960
Contains CDs as well.

If anyone has it please let me know. I'm interested in borrowing or buying it. I know there is a non PowerPC one as well, but it's just the PPC one that interests me.

Thanks

I found a site that compared prices from different sites.
http://www.campusi.com/bookFind/asp/bookFindPriceLst.asp?prodId=1568844662
I hope this helps.

My first post is/was for the 'guide to using OS/2 Warp' with results and the second one is for the book that you are looking for but showed no results/comparisons.

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1568845960/qid=1100097001/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_1/102-6154987-4372115?v=glance&n=507846
It is listed here with 'out of print limited availability' at Bordes (which is partnered with Amazon.com).

Here is a listing at Barnes and Noble.

I was able to quickly locate one copy (I think) at Amazon Japan: http://www.bookfinder4u.com/IsbnSearch.aspx?isbn=1568845960&mode=direct

I have no idea whether the seller will ship outside Japan, however, nor can I read Japanese, which makes it even harder to decipher how to complete the transaction...

Good luck!

UPDATE: I stand corrected. It now appears that the bookfinder4u link is outdated, and the amazon.jp page is saying exactly what the other Amazon sites show, namely, that you may request a used copy when one becomes available. Sorry to raise false hopes...

It would be nice if 'out of print' books were made into ebooks (.pdf or other ebook file formats) so they can still be purchased without having to reprint them.

If it will be of value or assitance in the remotest manner, I would rather it be given to a group that has contributed significantly to the platform. Let me know and I will send it GRATIS.
