Is there a Real Media player for OS/2? Is there a media player that can play .rm or .ram files? IIRC - WarpVision does not play them (perhaps in the future[?]).Is there a program that can convert .rm or .ram to a movie file format that can be played/seen by a program that works with OS/2?
Can one use Real Media Player for Win95 with OS/2-eCS and ODIN?
WarpVision as it exists today WILL play the Real format. In fact, I have yet to find a Real Movie file that it would NOT play. To use Warpvision for this purpose however, the file must be local. Warpvision will NOT stream video.
Real Player 8 will stream, however, it can not be used as a plugin. To use it, you must enter the "Link location" in the URL bar. It will work successfully under specific versions of Odin. It is broken under recent versions. Many Odin users believe that the 6-27-02 version of Odin is the best for Real Player. It is available here:

I personally find the 12-06-02 version works best. However, to the best of my knowledge, versions following this, break Real Player, even to the present.
With that said, be aware that Real Player under Odin is NOT PERFECT. It crashes with prolonged use, and has various other limitations. It is however useable.
Good luck,
