| I found this link while looking for images of eCS. I have heard of SQL before. This one seems for OS/2. Can anyone tell me more about it?

| If you read about SQL and eCS was mentioned I assume that it was mySQL that you read about. mysql is an opensourced based SQL driven database. Structured Query Language - SQL is a standard interactive and programming language for getting information from and updating a database. Although SQL is both an ANSI and an ISO standard, many database products support SQL with proprietary extensions to the standard language. SQL comes from IBM so from IBM you have DB2 and from Microsoft there is MS SQL Server (they where a bit smarter regarding the name since I've talked to companies that belives that SQL is from Microsoft). Both DB2 and mysql are available for OS2. For example this online forum would not work without mysql as a backend application to store all the postings, etc. |

Well, okay... but... I think we've got some misunderstanding here. I only wanted to know what link you were talking about in order to give you an answer (or help) on what it is about. Greetings |

| http://www.os2power.com/yuri/mysql2/ I am pretty sure it was this one. The first one listed in my previous post. I listed the others since I was not sure which one it was (I thought I had copied but realize now that I did not). --- BigWarpGuy - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - OS/2 Warp-ed/eComStation-ed to the very end. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - |

| Another possible product is PostgreSQL, which also has been ported to our favorite software platform. http://www.ecomstation.it/postgres/
