Audacity is an audio editor for Linux and Windows with support for wav, mp3 and ogg formats. It's opensource and uses the wxWindows GUI lib, which has an OS/2 version. If someone with the required skills would take the time to port AUdacity to OS/2 it would be great. OS/2-eCS needs an app like this one!

Well, tried it out and it works actually rather well with the basic need features one could expect.

More info can be found at http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Were you trying it out on a non-OS/2 computer or was it on an OS/2 or eCS computer using XFree86 or using ODIN?

If it could be ported to Linux, could it be ported to OS/2 using XFree86? or use with OS/2 with XFree86?

Actually, Audacity 1.0 does run under OS/2 using Odin. I have already edited several mp3s with it. Only deficiency is that Odin does not work well with my soundcard and I cannot use it for playing the deited file.
