| Audacity is an audio editor for Linux and Windows with support for wav, mp3 and ogg formats. It's opensource and uses the wxWindows GUI lib, which has an OS/2 version. If someone with the required skills would take the time to port AUdacity to OS/2 it would be great. OS/2-eCS needs an app like this one! |

| Well, tried it out and it works actually rather well with the basic need features one could expect. More info can be found at http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ |

| Were you trying it out on a non-OS/2 computer or was it on an OS/2 or eCS computer using XFree86 or using ODIN?

| If it could be ported to Linux, could it be ported to OS/2 using XFree86? or use with OS/2 with XFree86?

Actually, Audacity 1.0 does run under OS/2 using Odin. I have already edited several mp3s with it. Only deficiency is that Odin does not work well with my soundcard and I cannot use it for playing the deited file. |
