Hi

Is there anybody out there in the OS/2-eCS-Community, who is using the combination Treo or Palm with SD/MMC-Slot and Card-Export II von Softick under OS/2-eCS as an USB-MSD (Mass-Storage-Device). It works like a charm under Win2k or MacOSX.
I tried it yesterday without success . Maybe it depends on the Driver-Versions

regards

Achim

P.S: if it is working, it will be probably the best way for us OS/2-junkies to make our Palmbackups and Synchronisations.

Hi

I do not know Card-Export, but as backup the latest version of Pilot-link on hobbes is fairly good, and it supports USB !

I'm missing a usable PIM with full syncronization of multiple, otherwise incompatible, devices (I am using a Palm Tungsten T, and a Nokia 9210).

I have been working on one such application, but until now it's Palm only and very "internal software" ;o)

Hi Kim,

thanks for your answer, I know about the new release from Yuri Dario. I tested it with limited success. The only thing i can do with it is backup. All other Programms are ending up with an error message.
I told this to Yuri and he compiled a new version, which is now the latest availabe version on Hobbes. But again only backup is working for me. I couldn´t find out why. Maybe an Issue with my USB Versions, but i am almost up to date. The GCC-Lib which is provided in the package is working standalone without EMX, is that right ?

So i´m looking for other possible solutions working properly on 3 BS (eCS, Mac OS X an Win2k). Thats the Problem.

Jsyncmanager and USB seems to be a neverending story and serial communications under MAcosx is only possible with an adapter.

Hi Achimi

>do you need betatesters for that

At some point, yes.

Right now it's at a point around pre, pre alpha, and I would be somewhat embarressed to publize it in this state.

When I am ready to beta test I'll let you know in this forum.

I wonder if anyone has tried using a MMC/SD card USB card reader? I hvae a Palm TungstenE that has a MMC/SD card slot. I have placed a 512 meg SD card in it and it is seen on my eCS 1.1 Thinkpad T23.

Well, when you do, fire me off an email or post. I've got a Treo 600 that I'd love to not need a Windoze machine to fully synchronize.

- Thanks,
Robert
