Is there a program to create a video compact disc from a movie file (ie; .mpg, mpeg, etc) for OS/2-eCS?

Tom, if you're talking about VCD and you have your movie clip in mpeg1 it's just a matter of creating the correct directories and naming the files correct. If this is done you are able to play the CD in a DVD-player that supports VCD and CDR CDs. This can be done by hand, ie using a filehandler and copier.

Thanks for the information. I will give it a try. I have a couple of mpeg movies (free to download from different sites on the internet/www) and wanted to try to put them on a mini-cdr to share with relatives. (hopefull so their non-OS/2 pc will play it like it would a vcd).

PS I had totally forgotten that I had posted this before until after I had posted it and scrolled down the list (must have been a pre-senior moment).

I did and downloaded it. I will give it a try.

It is also at http://www.vcdgear.com but the OS/2 version has not been updated like the ones for the other platforms.

I asked - at the vcdgear.com forum - if there will be a newer version of VCDGear for OS/2. They said there will be one in the future.
