| Is it possible to put the eCS demo on an USB thumb drive that has 128 mb? I was able to put the eCS on a mini-cdr that has 210 mb. | Would it be possible to boot from a usb drive? Putting the eCS on an USB would be waste if one could not boot from the USB drive.

Depends on the machine. Some machines (like most of the newer HP and Compaqs) have an option in the BIOS to "boot from USB device" - it then, well, does just that. I think that should work with the eCS demo but I am not sure. If I get a chance to give it a try, I will... though I am not sure how to create a boot record on a USB drive from a CD-bootable ISO.

| I am not familiar with the process of creating a bootable usb drive using a iso for cd's. I will ask how the person plans to do it.

| Before you go too far with the technical details, you should investigate the license for the eCS demo CD. It would appear to be intended only as a demo on CD, not to be installed on a hard drive, which I would infer to apply also to other RW boot devices such as a USB drive. |

| Thanks for the information. I will relay it to the person who wants to put it on an usb drive. I was able to put the eCS demo on mini-cdrs. I was not able to download the eCS demo on my eCS1.1 pc. I could only download the demo using a WinPC.

| That's interesting, I had no difficulty downloading the demo on eCS 1.2. |

I have eCS 1.1 on my desktop computer. I have a cable modem. I am using SeaMonkey for OS/2-eCS. When I click on the 'download eCS demo' at the eComStation site, nothing happens. I will try it again but using Mozilla to see if it is browser.

| I was able to get it with Mozilla but not SeaMonkey? I have downloaded the latest of SeaMonkey and will install it.
