Good news is that the missing part of Mozilla (IPC communication) according to Mike Kaply is ready to be released and this would give support to use GnuPG as encryption tools within Mozilla and other components based on the Mozilla code. This has been a missing part under OS2 since for example under Windows if you would like to use GnuPG instead of PGP this has been supported for a while.
