I was wondering if anyone can tell me where I can purchase OS/2 Warp 4 in Singapore? I am sick of Windows but cannot find anywhere here that sells OS/2!! I am looking for the Client edition with the Plus pack. Is it still availble, if so where can I get it and how much does it cost?

Any help would be MOST appreciated. Thanks:)

Abdul
PS: Could anyone who has experience of the voice control in OS/2 please tell me how accurate/effective it is?

Suggestion would be to place an order at IBM Online WebShop! If you surf into http://www.ibm.com/software/os/warp/ , you'll find "Buy other version" on the right side on the page. Suggested price here is $180. Even better suggestion would be to buy a licens for eComStation and this will include all the latest updates. Check out following url where to buy eCS http://www.ecomstation.nl/uk/ecs_ord.html

Well, it sort of works at least for desktop voice commands. but for more deep dictations together with word processor I would put that much faith into it Main problem is that even if You but in huge amount of time to teach the system to recognize your voice you still need to have a rather clear english when speaking since it won't handle different "dialect" that well. Remember this code haven't been updated for a long while. When it comes to the ViaVoice for Windows (IBM Software) you will get much better result. But, this code of course have also been updated. I've used ViaVoice with great success, but you still have to put in lots of time to get it to a level where it's useful for dictations.

Please forgive me if this in improper messageboard etiquette. I've have been trying desperately to find an experience OS/2 (Client Server Engineer) for my client in Eastern North Carolina. I was hoping as a regular visitor to the site, you might be able to guide me in the right direction.

I have a client that has an immediate need for someone very experienced with the OS/2 operating system. They are planning a conversion to NT but, could really use someone with very strong OS/2 experience to be the "go to guy / girl". This is a permanent opportunity in Eastern North Carolina.

Please contact me immediately for more information. I apologize for not having an 800 #. Feel free to email me, I will be checking it constantly.

Thanks!
