I read that there are open source games located at SourceForge (http://sourceforge.net). One could port them to OS/2 (or create a program to port them to OS/2)?

Hmm.. seems that one should look at little more often at SourceForge's different projects. Since as you mentioned when looking at http://sourceforge.net/softwaremap/trove_list.php?form_cat=80 following projects:

Games/Entertainment
- Board Games (194 projects)
- First Person Shooters (344 projects)
- Multi-User Dungeons (MUD) (527 projects)
- Puzzle Games (175 projects)
- Real Time Strategy (355 projects)
- Role-Playing (842 projects)
- Side-Scrolling/Arcade Games (198 projects)
- Simulation (496 projects)
- Turn Based Strategy (444 projects)

What could be done is that people takes a deep lookse into what games they would like to see ported to OS2. Then there is the usually problem with who might do this.

The OS/2 Games site at http://www.os2world.com is looking for open source games. There might be those who want to create something for OS/2 and would need something to start from and/or be inspired by. There might be someone with 'programmers block' (a code writers version of writers block[?]).

How about a poll on which games people/Warp users would like see for OS/2? Then take the results and give a partial list (from the SourceForge group with the most votes) and have a partial list of possible ports to OS/2 to see which people will like the most (this will give those wanting to port a game to OS/2 [for those who want to port it but are either just beginning to program or wanting to be inspired by something a chance to focus on something that people/Warp users want).
