Is there a program and/or a combination of eCS programs to create a hard drive image of CD contents under eComStation like CDAnywhere to run programs without the CDs? Whether it be OS/2 native, DOS?, or under a Win/OS2 type session?

Have you tried NetDrive and the NetDrive ISO FS plugin?

NetDrive:
http://www.blueprintsoftwareworks.com/

The plugin:

There is also "ISOFS" from Chris Wohlgemuth. It is at <http://www.os2world.com/cdwriting/>.

Thank you for the two "CDAnywhere" equivalent possibilities. Funny how potential solutions are usually right under your nose => a page like Chris Wohlgemuth's which is a great total CD Tools source => or the flexibilty of NetDrive.

Greetings.

What you really want is this version of ISOFS as enhanced by Smedles;

http://home.clara.net/orac/os2.htm#isofs

This one handles ISOs of 2gig in size.

Another good suggestion from Ben Dragon.

Interesting how all of the replies from this simple question has resulted in links to sources with a ton of useful eCS utility applications.

Well, Paul!
I hope you're happy.

You just ruined a perfectly good reply! *grins*

Heheh.

I stand corrected.

Say...

Aren't you supposed to be working on fixing the mySQL 5 and PHP 5 with Apache/2 thingy?

See ya later, Paul, and thanks for the heads up.

They modphp5 problem with apache2 is bugging me still - but at present I have no real clues on how to fix it - other than using the cgi php.exe - which offers very similar performance to using modphp anyway.....

There are no major issues with mysql that I know of/remember??

There were a couple of serious issues a few versions back that we couldn't resolve. You may have them fixed by now, but I haven't had the time to test the setup here and I can't remember offhand what the issues were.

I'll check our correspondance and send you some feedback once I get around to testing up-to-date versions.

Later...
