For thoose of you thinking about getting a DVD Writer unit check this list at VCD Help before buying one:

Do you think the RSJ software will work with a dvd writer/recordable/rewritable?

I have no clue at all if RSJ Writer could be used to burn DVD's. I asked the same question to Chris W about cdrecord for OS2 and got a positive answer. Check following thread.

Why would you use RSJ? You can use a DVD-writer directly via the UDF drivers from WSeB, and after you've locked the thing, you can use it as some king of harddisk. The differebce is that WSeB's UDF supports formatting the disk, MCP's does not...

Happy Warp'ing during my exams...

For users having either WSFeB or MCP/ACP it then is easy done. So, it's just matter of gettinga DVD-RW unit then to try this out and prices are starting to get low enough to get one and as well the media. But, I think that Tom are using either Warp 3 or Warp 4

I have OS/2 Warp ver 4 with fixpak 15 and RSJ cdwriting software on my desktop. With prices going doing down (like they did for cd-rw drives) for dvd-rw/dvd-r/etc, it won't be long before I get one for my computer (might get a dvd-rom drive first since they have really come down in price (like the cd-rom drives). Once I get a dvd-rom and/or dvd recordable/rewritable drive, I will try it out with my RSJ software and return with the results.
