| You can recreate the install disks with a batch file included on the hard drive. Just search for *.bat in any OS and it will find a couple. Be sure to open it with a text editor to verify which batch file is the one to create the disks. If you have a working OS/2 Warp system and a CD-ROM burner, you can create an updated OS/2 Warp 4 install CD-ROM that is bootable. Try google to search for it on the internet. There may even be a package on hobbes (http://hobbes.nmsu.edu). Good luck. |

The needed installation diskettes can be created from the cd that you already have. As already mentioned look for *.bat files on the cd. Been a while ago I created the installations diskettes, but I think the file you should run is named cdinst.bat; this will then prompt you to have 3 pre-formated and empty diskettes ready to create the set of needed installations diskettes for OS2. |

| Yes, cdinst.bat . It's a DOS bat file, which calls DOS programs, so that you need some computer with a DOS window. That's all. The .bat is in the root directory of your CD. Therefore: 1. Put your CD into any machine with a DOS session. Yep! Even in a machine with winblows Note that you will need to patch the diskettes most likely. The diskettes produced with cdinst are the "default" ones - with the original drivers shipped with W4. If you have a HD greater than 8 GB then you will need better HD drivers. Download the DANIxxx drivers from hobbes. Also, you will need SDD for your video card most likely. Get it from somewhere |
