| I have an IBM Thinkpad 755c with Warp ver 3 and fixpak 26. I have a desktop with Warp ver 4 and fixpak 15. The desktop has a network pci card and the notebook has a pcmcia network card. Is it possible to connect the two via the network cards? I have not tried it, yet.

| Yes, just use a crossed ethernet cable and you're able to set up a direct link betwen the systems. /Kim |

When buying the cable, make sure that you ask them that it works betwen two computers without using a hub or a switch. I have had customers that asked for crossed ethernet cables and got the "normal" ones to be used together with a huv or switch. When asking if it works betwen two system they got the correct one ![]() /Kim |

| There is a special cable that comes with the pcmcia nic card that has an ethernet connection on one end and a special propiety connection to the pcmcia card. I will try it with this cable since a regular cable (crosssed or otherwise) would not fit the pcmcia card.
